Panic! At The Disco speak out against band-centered scam

Alternative Press - Tim Karan on 11/16/09 @ 10:45 AM - altpress.com

Panic! At The Disco have posted a blog on their MySpace page warning fans not to give information to imposters who are posing as the band's assistants in order to gain personal information. The band say they don't even have assistants and that fans should not trust anyone claiming to be such.

The complete message from Brendon Urie and Spencer Smith reads: "We we're informed that somebody has been posing as us or our assistants (which we don't even have) trying to get information from people. This person is not affiliated with us in any way, and you should not be giving out any personal information. This is kinda crazy to have to tell you guys, but you all are important to us and we need to look out for you!"

Panic! just recently returned from playing a string of shows in South America.
